Signing In & Out
What if I forget my password?
Please contact your site administrator. Provide your first and last name, and the email address you would have used at the time of your registration.
How do I change my password?
You may not be able to change your password. If you do not see this option, contact your site administrator for more information.
Click on My Account in the upper left hand corner of your desktop (under your name). When available, click the arrow next to Change Password. Enter your new password (twice), then click the Change Password button.
Why do I have to sign in to get to my personal page each time I return?
There is a small text file in your web browser that is called a "cookie". This "cookie" simply tells the site that a user has returned to the site and then enables us to generate their personal page out of our database. Look in your Preferences or Internet Options dropdown on your browser and make certain that your browser is set to "accept cookies."
How do I turn on my cookies?
Your personal desktop (and many other sites on the internet) will not work unless you configure your browser to accept cookies. If you receive a "Your session has timed out" message immediately after registering or during subsequent log ins, you need to turn on the "Accept Cookies" feature in you browser.
To change your cookie setting:
Mozilla Firefox (1.0 final release and earlier)
Go to the "Tools" menu.
Select "Options".
Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel.
Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
Click "OK" to save changes.
Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0
Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.

Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.

What is a cookie anyway?
A cookie is a tiny packet of information passed between your browser and a web site such as this site. This portal uses cookies to verify your identity so that we can immediately pull up your personal page with all the additions and changes you have made. See "How do I turn on my 'cookies?'" above for information on how to activate this feature. You can eliminate the cookie from your browser at any time by simply clicking the Sign Out link in the upper left hand corner of your desktop, under your name.
How can I make this site my homepage?
Click the "Make This Site My Home" link in the upper left corner of your homepage (under the site logo).

What is Remote Sign-Out?
There may be times when you want to sign-out of all the computers on which you are signed in. For example, you may have signed into your personal page from a public computer while travelling. If you forgot to sign-out, then anyone using that computer to visit the site would automatically be signed into your personal page. You can use "Remote Sign-Out" to sign-out of your personal page on all remote computers. You can also sign-out of all computers including this computer by using the "Complete Sign-Out" option.
Remote Sign-Out is available from your homepage by clicking the "+" next to the Sign-Out link under your name. You can also use Remote Sign-Out from the My Account page. Click the arrow next to Remote Sign-Out to see information about this feature. Click the Remote Sign-Out Options button to see your options and sign out.
